We are waiting

Always invariably for more

We are waiting

For a wide open door

We are waiting

For our wounds not to feel raw

We are waiting

To leapfrog heightened walls

We are waiting

Not to be taken for fools

We are waiting

To cease trembling with fear

We are waiting

To hold our truelove near

We are waiting

For endless fighting to end

We are waiting

For our throbbing hearts to mend

We are waiting

For the blazing sun to shine

We are waiting

For what’s going to be our time

We are waiting

For our lost lover to come back

We are waiting

To fill a tremendous gap

We are waiting

Supposedly to have it all

We are waiting

For the blue sky to fall

Now please lend your ear to me

And listen so very carefully

We are sober

The wait is over.
